A record number of people have participated in Melbourne Open House 2010 with 64,000+ visits to the 61 buildings open over the weekend.

MELBOURNE OPEN HOUSE ONLY ONE WEEK TO GO - PLAN YOUR VISIT NOW (24kb)

 A few highlights of the event include:

o Two centuries of Melbourne's architectural history in one street - Collins Street
o Seven places of worship are a tour on their own and it is a tour well worth doing
o The Victoria Police Mounted Branch stables, riding school and drill hall
o The ANZ Gothic Bank and 6 Star ANZ Centre
o A range of residential buildings
o 131-141 Queen Street, the scene of the Great Bookie Robbery
o The Block Arcade including normally closed upper floors
o The Russell Place underground substation and JA Substation
o The old High Court building
o A range of 'green roofs'

Melbourne Open House occurs on the Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th of July, providing Melbournians with a once a year opportunity to see inside, on top of and under some of the city's most loved and well known buildings. A unique aspect of this year's event is the ability to see two centuries of Melbourne's architectural history in one street - Collins Street.
